Local vet: Llamas are intelligent

By Tracy Farr

Editor, The Daily Spittoon

In the wake of more Llama-Man sightings around town, as well as the "caught on camera" break-in at Garvin's Feed Store & Tack Shop, a local veterinarian says that llamas may be more than just the dumb pack animals we take them for; they may be as intelligent as humans.

"It is widely believed that llamas are nothing more than unintelligent beasts of burden -- but I disagree," said Crappie County veterinarian Norman Stall. "Llamas have a brain comparable to humans, they have thinking skills and reasoning skills that are far beyond the capability of other animals, and they communicate with each other in complex ways that we are just now beginning to understand."

Stall's findings were recently published in the scientific journal "Animals From The Cosmos," a publication not taken seriously by the scientific community.

"Others may think I'm a crackpot, but they haven't seen what I have seen," said Stall. "And I think our Llama-Man sightings, and his eventual capture, will prove me right. Until then, I advise that we keep a wary eye on the lookout. Llamas are everywhere, and there's no telling what they have in mind."

Editor's Note: We have put together a timeline of Llama-Man stories to keep you and your loved ones informed. It's called: The Llama-Man Files.
