The Stinky Creek Town Council holds public hearings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, except during June, July, and August when there is only one meeting held on the third Monday of the month, and except during deer season when the meeting is held on Wednesday before church so everybody can make it to the Methodist Church for potluck dinner.  Work sessions are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month with the exceptions of June, July, and August when there is no session because everyone is on vacation or mowing their yards.

All meetings are open to the public and citizens are urged to attend. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are held in the Stinky Creek Council Chambers. All firearms must be checked at the door. Agendas are available in the Office of the Town Clerk after 4:00 p.m. on Fridays prior to each meeting. All Town Council public hearings as well as other governmental meetings are offered live on Stinky Creek Community Television - Channel 9 on the Crappie County Cable System.

Mayor’s Office Hours

Mayor Herbert Reese meets with citizens by appointment only at Town Hall in downtown Stinky Creek. Anyone interested in scheduling an appointment with Mayor Reese should call the town clerk. If the clerk is not available, call the Stinky Creek golf course manager. If he's not available, call Mayor Reese's wife, but be prepared for the consequences.
